Experienced Automotive Controller needed in the Pensacola, FL market for a stable family owned dealership.
Experience as a Controller in a new car dealership is required to be considered for this role.
The current Controller has been in the role for several years and is going to be transitioning to a new role within the dealer which is why this rare opportunity is available.
This is a great long-term opportunity as the dealer is looking for the next long-term automotive Controller to lead their accounting department for years to come.
Great staff in place, clean books, and turn-key operation.
Must be experienced in closing out the month-end at a new car dealership and be able to prepare, and submit, the monthly financial statement to the factory.
It is important that the automotive Comptroller hired is ethical, honest, and has a proven track record in automotive accounting.
More so, it is important that this person is a clear communicator and someone who promotes a positive work-place culture as this is a low turnover dealership with a positive reputation they are looking to uphold.
This person will be responsible to oversee a strong accounting team, including a strong Office Manager.
Experience on Dealertrack is a big plus.
This position will report directly to the Dealer Principal.
Serious relocation candidates, with high level automotive accounting experience, will be considered for this role.
Responsibilities:
Manage and oversee the financial activities of the dealership
Prepare and submit the monthly financial statement; own the month-end close process
Develop and maintain accurate financial records
Analyze financial data and provide recommendations to management
Prepare financial reports and present them to management
Provide financial guidance to management and assist in decision-making
Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations
Oversee and implement financial policies and procedures
Manage the accounting team and provide leadership, guidance, and training
Review and approve financial transactions
Maintain effective communication with management and other departments
Maintain regular communication with the Dealer Principal on the standings of the dealership, cost saving measures, and any issues that may require their attention
Compensation:
Compensation in the 125k-150k range based on experience and track record.
