Children's Place is an outreach of Gulf Breeze United Methodist Church
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and curriculum for preschool students
- Provide a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow
- Foster social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development through engaging activities
- Conduct assessments to track student progress and identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure open communication and involvement in their child's education
- Implement behavior management strategies to promote positive behavior in the classroom
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment
- Adhere to all licensing regulations and maintain necessary documentation
Skills:
- Strong knowledge of childhood development theories and practices
- Experience working with preschool-aged children in a daycare or educational setting
- Ability to create engaging lesson plans that incorporate various learning styles
- Familiarity with early intervention strategies for children with special needs
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with children, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills to manage classroom materials and resources
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the individual needs of students
- Experience in behavior management techniques to promote a positive learning environment
